Elizabeth Jane Corbett introduces and reads extracts from her debut novel, The Tides Between. She charts her journey to its publication and her own journeys from Australia to Wales and back again. Describing herself as ‘hanner cymraeg’ (Welsh mother, English father), she has lived in Australia for all but nine years of her life. Whist Elizabeth has accepted her Melbourne-Australian identity, she visits Wales regularly, has learned its language and shares it by teaching Welsh at Melbourne’s Welsh Church.
The Tides Between, was named as Notable Book for older readers in 2018, by the Children’s Book Council of Australia.
