Part of the Pop-up Poetry Fortnight
The first woman to win the prestigious Chair at the National Eisteddfod in 2001, Mererid has since won the National Crown and continues to be in great demand as a poet, tutor and television presenter. She is also a highly accomplished translator, mainly working between German and Welsh. She is also a Fellow of the Academi.
Mererid's new collection, Nes Draw, was published in 2015 and Singing in Chains: Listening to Welsh Verse (2004) is being re-published by Gomer this month. Both titles and some recent translations for children will be available to buy at the event.
