How we find the book for you

We’re here to help you find the book you’re after – whether that’s a latest best seller, or a second hand treasure.

Used Books

We specialise in used, second hand and out of print books that are difficult to find but so good to read!

We travel around the hidden gems of mid-Wales looking for great, yet often forgotten books. We cherry pick the finest from the area’s many markets, antique stores, charity shops and other book stores to bring you the best, most interesting books for you to pick up.

New Books

Buy new books in our shop in machynlleth, or online – whichever suits you.

We have a vast range of new books to browse or order in store, but we also sell online through our Bookshop.org store page.

You can…

Easy, trusted Payment methods

If you're wary of online shopping, ordering your books or event tickets with Pen'rallt Bookshop is safe.

We realise not everyone likes paying for everything online, so buying with us you can avoid having to accept yet more 'cookies' or devise ever more secure passwords for log-ins or divulge sensitive information, such as your bank details. Instead, we give you our payment details and you can pay what you owe us by Bank Transfer (BACS).

Or simply phone with your card number and we'll carry out the transaction directly on our card machine, so no record is kept.

You can also use any unspent NATIONAL BOOK TOKENS. Simply copy the long number on the token onto the form on the Contact page when you order or email your order to penralltbooks@gmail.com

We don’t mind if you phone - 01654 700559 - but it helps us if you can confine phone-calls to weekday mornings. Thank you.
